Classic Sunroof

Unfortunately the glass sunroofs were fitted by the dealers as an option so aren't genuine subaru parts, you'll have to try and find some kind of manufacturers marking on it somewhere.
The genuine Subaru sun roofs from the factory were steel rather than glass.

I'd look into aftermarket sunroof companies and see if there's the possibility of a complete replacement. If it was easy I'd remove mine as it restricts head room and I've had to have it all out to treat a bit of rust that appeared under the trim around the aperture in the roof. Think they were fitted by some animal with an angle grinder when they landed in the UK. My grey leather was all fitted in the UK as well as there is a label from the upholsterers on each seat. The sun roofs may have been put in by the same company that fitted the sigma alarms.

After a bit of digging it seems that the sunroof is a Webasto Hollandia 700 and the American site has a recall for this very problem!! I've tried submitting a recall, but I'm not holding my breath!
On a side note, do you have a headliner in your car? I only ask because mine doesn't and I'd like to get one in there, it looks awful without it! I've looked everywhere but can't find a headliner to fit with a sunroof.

I do, must admit I've never compared it to a non sunroof one. If I hadn't just put it away in the garage ans stuck my daughters non starting Clio up against the door I'd have taken a photo for you. If I drag it out during the week I'll try and sort something.
Does or should that be did yours drop and slide inside the car or did it lift and slide outside like the Subaru steel one did?

The sun roof in your second link is the factory steel panel that lifted up and back outside of the vehicle, the dealer fit one was a glass panel that dropped and slid between the headlining and the roof of the car, I don't know if there is much difference in head lining.

For anyone who was following this, or for anyone who finds it in the future I have some info that may be useful.
I've been in touch with Webasto, the sunroof manufacturer who took over a company called Vermulien, who were the manufacturers of these sunroofs when they were originally installed.
The only identifying mark on the sunroof is this logo found on the sunshade handle:
The letters are VH, which stands for Vermulien Hollandia. The specific sunroof is a Vermulien Hollandia 42 Super 720 and the glass is 18.5 x 27.5 inches. I had to do a lot of research to find this, but this site has some info:
http://www.sunroofdoctor.com/hollandiainbuilt.htm
During my research I found that there was a recall years ago after the glass was coming unbonded from the frame and flying out of the car, just like my problem!
After speaking to Webasto they decided to replace the glass for free, but it took a long time for them to sort it all out as they couldn't find the right size glass for my roof! They were struggling to find any information about it and ended up finding it through the sunshade badge above and my serial number, which can be found at the front passenger side of the sunroof frame once the sunroof has been opened.
I'm now having to wait for the sunroof fitter to order the glass and fit it to the car, which he doesn't seem to be in any rush to do!!
I will update this when I know the part number for the glass.
I hope this helps someone in the future, it's been a real nightmare finding any info on this!!

Glad you got it sorted, or at least it sounds like it will be soon. Apologies for not taking a photo of my headlining, I'd just locked it back in the garage after taking it to Goodwood on Friday when I remembered.

Cheers bud. It's a bit different, non-sunroof ones have a light unit at the front where your sunroof switch is. Whoever fitted mine just butchered my switch into said light unit!
