I was reading where to put a aftermarket water temp sender and everyone seems to put it in the top rad hose but iv always known them to go closet to the thermostat witch would be the bottom hose where does everyone have there's and what size do I need I have samco hoses on a blob eye

 

The stock position on a Scoob is in the block, just under the alternator> My aftermarket gauge sender sits in the original tappings there.
Because I couldn't get used to seeing the OE gauge sat at zero, I put the original sender into an adator in the top hose, where it works fine, being close to the original position.

Best place for ANY sender is where the manufacturer designed it to go
