Default Series McRae car at auction

Nothing to do with me, but I get an email from this auction place and they have a 1995 Series McRae classic up for auction at the moment. Current price £11250, estimate is £14K.

Would love to know how he managed to spend £7k on an engine build for a standard Turbo 2000.

Surely half of that would get the job done from a reputable builder.

The Macrae is a cosmetic tart up done by Prodrive they did not rebuild the cars. It was basically a standard car with a different colour paint, wheels and seats.

As for that nonsense of 170 out of 200, a bloke with a bag of stickers walked around and put the stickers on when he could not go outside and have a *** as his foreman had found him trying to go for a ***.

Some idiots are easily impressed and will bid on any old stuff.

being a special edition makes them more desirable, look at the p1 vs type R, type r is a far better performance car yet p1's typically pull more money

Yes similar in the MX5 scene as well and people say that was 40 of 400 so it would be an early one of that special edition when the numbered stickers were put on at random.

Aye, Madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
