That's interesting. I went on the Pedders Website and they say their suspension will lower the WRX by 30mm but make little difference to an Sti. I've probably got it wrong again though.

Yes, 30mm drop on a wrx and just slightly lower than standard on an Sti.

Thanks, just had a look and the cars look a lot lower than the standard Sti. So is the Pedders site inaccurate re ride height?

I'll contact Pedders for clarification as I like the lower look of the car but not the harshness of the coilovers fitted at the moment.

I contacted Pedders and got a good response on their webchat. My car currently measures 59mm wheel rim to wheel arch on coilovers. With the Pedders fitted this measurement would be about 72mm. I don't know how this compares to a standard Sti.

had one of the first wide track sets on my hawk sti, they are a decent drop over standard and im very impressed with them.

IMO, I wouldn't run lower than 360mm on a strut front, and only then, after putting some serious thought into the length and durometer of the bump stops. I also think the stock widetrack STI rear ride height is fine.

Thanks for the link. Those cars all look low enough to me, makes me wonder why Pedders say they only slightly lower an Sti? I need to ditch the BCs as their harshness is spoiling the car. That and a very loud 3" H & S exhaust which will be coming off soon too, but that's another story.

Thanks for the feedback guys, think I’m sold on these. I’ve read and heard good feedback on these. Don’t mind slightly lowering the car, but don’t won’t the harshness of coilovers.

have supplied Pedders for quite a number of years and they work out very cost effective and very straight forward being complete matched new units
as with most of our stock always deals to be had 0191-4103770

Just bear in mind the Pedders setup will be softer than the original STI suspension you're replacing.
It all depends what you want from your suspension setup. If it's a great ride with long lasting UK supplied shocks, then Pedders all the way. If you're after something more sporty and that will actually be an improvement over the original setup then personally I'd look at an alternative.
I went for MeisterR Zeta CRD+ coilovers and am over the moon with the results.

Latest pedders offering designed for wide track STi
Are we talking rub on wheel arch or spring carrier - were you fitting wheels with suitable ET ??
#28
Probably a generic pic?
Surely they wouldn't lower the ride height and fail to increase the spring rate? Maybe they're running trick bump stops?
