Default Which actual model do I have?

Hi everyone,

Hopefully someone can help me with this question. Some of you may be familiar with the website HOWMANYLEFT.CO.UK where you can search your car make and model and thenit’ll Tell you how many are currently on the road and how many have Been sorn off road.

I’ve got a 2004 Subaru Impreza wrx sti type uk. But when I search the models there are two different abriviations that appear and they both have a big difference in the amount of cars they claim are on the road.

the first one is subaru impreza wrx sti type-uk and the other is Subaru Impreza wrx-sti type uk. The only difference is the “-“ but as I say makes a difference in the number of cars.

One says there are only 2 left and the other says 494 left of the 2004 model.

Obviously I would like to know if mine is one of the remaining two or the latter.

Thanks for the help,
Leo

Why does it matter why OP wants to know, curiosity perhaps. No need for shirty comments. He only asked a question, why should that be a problem?

Sounds like there's 500 UK sti's left on the road. I think its just a daft error on the website that they've added 2 classifications on the site for the same car.

Yeah that’s what I thought might have been the case but just wanted to make sure. Thanks Jay Kay!

I doubt there are two different models

It will be down to how they were first registered. The owners/Dvla would have put the - in different places

Pretty sure that:

WRX-STI TYPE UK is the 2L cars.
WRX STI TYPE-UK is the 2.5L (Hawks,Hatches etc).

Check the years and engines for each one

Cheers, Sam.

You should hunt out and buy the only other one... you could then burn it to the ground and then retire on the sale of your one...
