As in other thread

An *AH990 is the standard ECU from a MY03 WRX STi as has been written on it.
Only way to tell if it's been remapped for PPP by Subaru/Prodrive is by interrogating it with ecutek

Ok thanks for reply reason I ask is the car has ppp cat backbox silicon hose under intercooler also iv heard from afew people that on new age prodrive wrote ip and a number in marker pen on ecu and on classics they put a sticker I did ring subaru but didn't want to know lol

Sounds like PPP to me, I don't think there ever was a Prodrive ECU as such (I could be wrong) but certainly for my 07 Hawk STi, it was just flashed by the dealer with the PPP map.


Rear box and intercooler hose sound hopeful....a main dealer can tell you if PPP is on the ECU. You do usually get a PPP certificate which goes in with the bookpack.....

Hawkeye d it seems like it is also I pxd one of my classic fords for it so not sure if I got all the paperwork ect with car some has prob been lost lol if u don't mind me asking could u look at your ecu and see if it's got ip and a number onit also I'm 99% sure they did use original ecu and just put a map onit and some sort of marking I know classics had a sticker

Well it's just been confirmed by subaru U.K. That it is indeed a ppp car now I just gotta find out what boost people are running as mine was missing the restrictor pill
