Default Clutch issue

Driving my Hawk Spec C home last night, pushed the clutch down and CLUNK. Pedal gone straight to floor. Can return the pedal to the top but there's no pressure on the pedal and clutch won't engage. Managed to get home with only a couple of grinding noises

Havent had any issues with clutch before just suddenly happened. What is this likely to be. Master cylinder?

I'm mechanically competent but have no expirience with clutches. Want to have a rough idea of what's wrong or potentually fix myself before I limp it to the garage

sounds most likely that the release bearing has jumped out of the retainer on the cover??

it may be a fluid leak/burst potentially also??

Imo if you don’t have access to a ramp then it’s easier to remove the engine

From personal experience regardless of a ramp or not I’ve always found it easier to remove the engine. Others will disagree however the engine can be romoved in an hour and it’s all from up too rather than below.

Emailed Mike at RCM. Was gonna drop in end of this month for a service and check over so I'll let them handle it as they're under the car anyway.
Gonna need all my skills at rev matching for the trip over there however...

Get it recovered mate it’s not worth box damage for the cost of recovery.
