Default Haweye spec C ra engine. Differences to standard sti?

Does anyone know if there are any differences between a standard blobeye jdm sti long engine and a hawkeye spec c ra long engine?
Would it be a straight swap into my blob?

almost identical apart from slight differences in cam / valve train

still has the "poor" piston spec

Ok, so if I got the spec c ra, long engine, I could use the standard sti bits, manifold, turbo, exhaust etc to build it up?

I believe the UK cars have the better pistons, is that right?

yes the EUDM 2.0 STi new-age engine (and 01-02 JDM) has the better pistons

in general all of your ancill's would simply fasten the the any STi new-age long block

Are the Spec C cams better? Any difference in lift/duration? Hard to find specifications on Subaru cams. I have non Spec C Jdm STI heads in my build. Is the redline the same from the factory?

Thanks everyone. Looks like it's a goer then. The cams are apparently more aggressive on the spec c but I assume that just means a few more horsepower to play with.

The later blob/hawk spec c has the best cams stock I believe, and I believe mikee from sc is after them cams in particular, sell him the heads for 4-500 lol and put yours on.
The rpm will be same, just lift will be better so more agressive. Jdm heads are awesome when you redline it, they just want more n more

If your Jdm is twinscroll then you will have the silicone pistons, if non TS then it will be the better pistons as fitted to all non TS ej207 stis
