Default Finally.. JDM

Well after weeks I’m soon to be the owner of a JDM.

having it hand sourced for me and can’t wait for it to arrive.

After selling my classic I’ve waited years to get back in a scooby. Ive always loved the hawks but didn’t trust 2.5’s

I knew the JDM’s were better and my amazing wife gave me some readys for it.

that's great news mate...I personally think the JDM's are the nicest, but the UK's aren't exactly poor! This looks like a nice car and I love the Lamco pod.

I wanted around 50,000 miles but kept being outbid,
then was informed that a higher miler could be cleaner and this is 65k.
still great milage and has good history etc

Very rarely found mileage to have any correlation with condition, especially jap imports. Love a blue hawk, so much I own one too!

The Lamco gauges were an optional OEM gauge pack for the earlier Imprezas and Foresters. Hawkeye and later Foresters had the digital instruments but mounted in the same housing...They were mounted on the top of the centre dashboard in place of the storage box on the GC8's. They were fitted into an OEM pod specifically made for the Lamco gauge pack that matched the finish of the dashboard. you can see it above the air vents in the interior pic.

its not specific for Lamco/digital instruments - its just a single din sized pod - H0010FE920OE - not sure what is housed in the one in the OP picture but its aftermarket gauge/display

I have that pod, you can get them from ICP. I've mounted 45mm Prosport gauges in to replace my 52mm triple set that annoyed me with reflections. Lovely tidy pod, really fits nicely. Still a bit of reflection, but higher up so less of an issue.

That nugget of info is priceless to me because i have a set of Lamco gauges and senders and have looked around for a pod..I was going to buy a Forester one from the States and paint it...
Is the quality/fit good? I want it to look OEM.
Cheers

Picked my Hawk STI up from Darren almost a year ago now and have been smiling since, the wait between winning the car at auction and it finally arriving is a killer but so worth it.
if you haven’t got them to underseal I would highly recommend getting it down ASAP,

Here is mine the day I picked it up
