Default Does anyone think this is over priced?

Probably know what most will say about this one but just wanted some opinions on price.

Allegedly he sold it but now it’s back up for a few hundred quid less.

What’s people’s thoughts?

Lol... well over priced. Low mileage will add a big premium on special edition cars. These normally go for 8-10k from 40k+ miles.

You could buy a standard one with 100k miles spend 10k forging an engine etc and have a better car more power .

Maybe with low miles you might stretch to 12k .

this time last year I missed out in a fully forged rb320 running 450bhp at £19.5k

Yeah can’t see the dealer dropping to 12k!

Really want the car but refuse to pay that.

It will be up for a sale for a while I think.

No point asking the dealer any further questions as he was a bit pissy last time.

Probably paid about £6k less than that for it.

Hopefully it will be worth 18k soon, that'll be good news for everyone

I thought maybe 15-16k Dealer.

It probably hasn’t got a full history.

They hardly ever do with that sort of mileage.

Here's something worth an 18k price tag in comparison to something with low miles

Can’t open that for some reason.

Is it an RB320 by any chance?

Copied from post. Doesnt show in good format unfortunately. But car has easily had 15k+ spent on modificstions INTERNATIONAL BUYERS ARE WELCOME, this car is already registered in the UK so is easy to export to your country, I can collect from Newcastle International Airport, or Newcastle Central Station if coming by train. Standard '97 Type R spec is here >> http://www.type-ra.com/impreza-my97-wrx-type-r-sti-version-specs High Resolution Pics >> http://s27.photobucket.com/user/Geordie_Aaron/slideshow/ Quick Walkround Video >> https://youtu.be/kgm1CrWc4_s If the car isn’t 100% as I’ve described, I will pay your return fare/fuel home, the car wants for nothing - it’s been garaged more than it’s been on the road in the UK and has ZERO rust. If you want to speak to me on the phone, message me with any questions and your number, I'll call you as soon as I can. The Car Imported by a friend, for me in 2016 - ’97 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type R only sold to the Japanese market, this car is in Sonic Blue (74F). Landed on British soil August 2016 and booked in for the new engine to be built by Andy Kindon of AK Automotive, a Subaru Specialist in Chester-le-street in October '16, remember this is the Type R, the two door coupe... prices for these in japan are crazy now, a standard, fresh import (depending on grading) will set you back £12k+, 6 speed gearbox is £2k'ish so there's £14k for a STANDARD one with a 6 speed.... My private reg pictured is NOT included in the sale, its original plate is P256 VRE. 3x Keys (one of which is the Newage Titanium one), 2x Alarm Fobs & booklet/install guide etc. V5c states it’s an imported 2.0 litre engine. I have near enough every receipt (see picture) with the car unless the parts are sourced from friends/forums. The car is currently running a conservative map of 471bhp at 1.6bar, the turbo is good for 2.0bar all day (RCM ran this turbo on Gobstopper 2) and the engine is good for up to 650bhp before it needs a tinkering to handle more. Engine 2150cc Stroker conversion, Forged, Closed Deck Block Inserts & 14mm Head Stud Conversion (Newage block, oil Modine, Manley ‘Platinum Series’ Pistons/Ring kit. PEC Forged Conrods, ARP 2000 Bolts, ACL Race Series complete main and big end bearing kit, Subaru STi Steel Head gaskets). RCM/Samco Turbo intake. RCM GT2 Spec Stainless Manifolds. RCM Fuel Pressure Regulator. RCM 340LPH In-Tank Fuel Pump. RCM/Precision Billet standard location Turbo 'RCMPT07'. Sytec Fuel Pressure Gauge. K&N RU1785 Air Filter. Harvey ‘trick’ Heat Wrapped 3 bolt Up-Pipe. Alcatek ECU Supplied, Fitted & Mapped by Bob Rawle – Motorsport Enabled (Anti-lag, Launch Control and Twin Maps) 850cc Injectors, NOT reflowed ones. Japspeed Front Mount Intercooler (Black). CDF Lightweight Crank/PAS & Alternator Pulleys (Currently only crank fitted, other two supplied). Japspeed Bellmouth 3” Downpipe. Japspeed 3” Exhaust the ‘friendly’ one. Custom 3” ASBO as ****, straight through exhaust, fully wrapped in DEI Titanium heat wrap, NOT the cheap fibreglass stuff. (NOT track/neighbour friendly at all and currently fitted) Oil Catch-Can. Suspension KYB Adjustable Shocks – Red (came on the car from Japan). Lowering Springs Circa. -30mm (came on the car from Japan). Hardrace Engine Mounts. Hardrace Gearbox Mounts. Hardrace Pitch Mount. Whiteline H Brace (Sprayed STi Pink). Unbranded Alloy Diff Brace (Sprayed STi Pink). Unbranded Upper-Rear Strutbrace. Transmission 6 Speed Gearbox/Rear Diff and Propshaft supplied by East Kent Subaru (recommend these guys!). Exedy Pink Box Clutch. Brakes Brembo Discs. Mintex F4R Pads. RBF600 Brake Fluid. Tegiwa Brake Stopper. Wheels 17" Works Emotion Lightweight Alloys in Gunmetal Grey (was gold) 205/45/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 Tyres with PLENTY Tread! Black Steel Tuner Wheel Nuts (Brand New SECOND set come with the car too – planned to have an everyday set and ‘show’ set) Bodywork Complete Underseal – a MUST for any import. Jun Front Splitter. Morrette Headlights (Outer lamps only – inners have trumpets). Mini Mud Flaps. Black Crystal Sidelights (BRAND NEW second set included). Black Front & Side Indicators. Full Carbon Fibre V6 Rear Spoiler. Replica 22B Bonnet Grills. (from Israel haha) Leon Cupra R Front Splitter. (no longer fitted, scuffed on a speedbump, will supply with car if you want it) Security Toad Sterling One Cat1 Alarm and Immobiliser. Audio Kenwood KFC-X1730P 17cm Component Speakers. Sony DSX-A200UI Headunit (built into custom surround with gauges and switches). Interior Custom Carling Switches for Anti-Lag/Boost & Launch Control. Depo Racing Limited Edition Dual View Gauges (Oil Temp/Pressure & Boost). Dash Cam 5v Supply routed to the mirror. (my nexus dashcam/32gb class 10 memory card is negotiable separately) Aftermarket Velour 'Type R' Mats. Standard ‘555’ WRC Seats. Original, Spare and Modified Parts Japspeed 3” Exhaust the ‘friendly’ one - currently the ASBO exhaust fitted. 1x Original Headlight…dropped one – whoops. Original Sidelights. Original Bumper Indicators. Original Side Indicators. Original Intercooler bottle/lines/relay/under tray/nozzle. Original Bonnet Vents. Original Wheel Nuts. Brand new matching second set of Wheel Nuts. Brand new Black Sidelights. Brand new in box Eibach Rear Camber Bolts. Fibreglass ‘Track’ Headlight (currently fitted). Aircon pump/condenser/radiator (removed since the video) I have a spreadsheet of all mileages and install dates on a separate spreadsheet that I’ll print off for the new owner, the chassis was imported with 175k KM on, it was converted to RUN miles from this date, again my spread sheet documents all this, the last two MOTs, the Odometer has shown the mix of KM and miles. the engine currently has 3,659 MILES on it (1,054 mile run in). I’d bought it to keep as a toy/investment as the Americans can start importing these in next year or so and values will start climbing fast, but since I’ve only done 629 miles in 2018, and 420 of those were getting to Japfest Donnington show! Rest of the time its sat in the garage, insured, doing sweet FA. The car has not been painted, other than the JUN Splitter when bought new, there is a small hole on driver seat (from japan) and usual bolster wear, not the worst by any stretch. I’ve a playlist on Youtube from the day it landed until the other week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp2O9hLn1pM&list=PLdunzYoGzTMJngcEo1KjBvav-N2G-xxCO

low mileage doesnt always mean great condition, things like timing belts/aux belts/tyres/fluids/brakes etc etc will deteriorate over time regardless of mileage and that little lot could add up to well over £1k

My mate got a 60k classic one old man owner since imported. The guy hadn't looked after it that well. Found cat back was 2.25" bore instead of 2.5" needed loads of new bits and bobs.

I had a brief conversation with the guy there before Xmas about the original 55 plate Widetrack I posted about and there’s no sense there.

They’ll just be cars that will be for sale week after week.

Nearly 19k for a UK car is way too much. Ok, so a fresh Jap import can command that sort of premium, but it's not.
I think at that sort of money it's not even an investment. The dealer is just trying to make hay.....even when the sun isn't shining.....

PPP is ok, but let's not forget, it's just a generic map flash, nothing bespoke. It does look like an honest true car, and a nice buy for someone, but 12k for me.....max.
