Default Buying a car on the V list.

Hello looking for some advice, I've been looking to buy another Subaru, I've found one but it says its on the V list, has anyone bought a car that was on the V list and experience any problems insuring it etc, also how much cheaper should it be in comparison to what it should be if it wasn't on the V list.
the car has been fully repaired.

Any info appreciated, thanks.

Personally I wouldn't buy a previously written-off car and many others are the same. This means if you do buy it, it will be harder to sell in future. It should also be majorly reduced in price given it is known that it's previously been smashed up. The problem is you'll probably never know how smashed up it got and how well its been repaired. For those reasons I would walk away, but there are people out there who buy Cat C or D cars and are happy with them

I've had cat D and C cars in the past. There's a multitude of reasons to write off a car and not all have been bent out of shape. My advice would be to look over it with a a fine tooth comb. Dont buy it if you're not allowed to drive it and get it at a price that you can break it for more lol

There's a lot more risk with a previously repaired car. First point would be who repaired it? What was involved in the repair? Is there a warranty on the work?
Second, I'd want a through inspection by a knowledgeable independant 3rd party.
