Default Garage / mechanic recommendation Hounslow / Heathrow

Further to my knocking noise thread (https://www.scoobynet.com/drivetrain...#post12053875) I wondered if anybody could recommend a reliable, honest garage in the Hounslow / Heathrow area that I could take the car to for a diagnosis of possible fault and to get the car on some ramps and get the noise located more precisely. I'd rather not drive too far to a garage as I don't want to cause further damage!

Thanks

I can't ally help with this question, but all I will say is avoid all those terrible engine places near Twickenham rugby ground. I'm not sure if they are even still there, but they were nothing but crooks.
I'm talking 25 or more years ago....took my Mk 1 Fiesta there and got shafted. Staff were gathering by a Jaguar for it's first start up....the workshop filled with smoke in seconds, and they were all cheering and high fives etc....I kid you not, bad bad place.
I should've known better as the one I used was called Engines Unlimited lol

Hopefully all closed down now years ago.....

Ah sorry, just realised your previous post wasn't engine related!

No apologies needed, I'm up for hearing where to avoid as much as recommendations.

I'm now convinced it's the centre diff/viscous coupling so will most likely do it at home but just wanted a second opinion for peace of mind.

If Rickmansworth isn't too far I'd recommend Steve at Hughberry Vehicles 01923 775221
