I am wanting to confirm if my STI has standard pistons fitted, i do not have all the history of the car. So before i start looking at getting the engine rebuilt. Can anyone confirm that the below photo, just shows what i think to be normal pistons

Probably - what you see is the factory "grade" mark

If you dont have any reason to believe its been rebuilt (like paperwork etc) then assume its not
