Advice on buying an imported Scooby

Well one plus, it (SHOULD) be rot / rust free on the underside which is a huge plus, get the chassis number and Use this link to check it, best money you will spend
Link. https://carvx.jp/?referrer=zmND2UtYp3LP
Will you be the first UK owner?? Who brought it in to the country etc??

I would never buy an import now without a car vx report done first.

You want to see the auction sheet as well as carvx report
why is he selling so early or is he a dealer ? I would expect the latter
dont get to hung up on grade r cars as could only be minor damage / repair there are certainly worse grade 3.5 cars out there

^^^^^^ Agree 100%, I’ve seen it first hand. They are some cracking grade R cars out there, friend bought an R Tommi Mak that had a bonnet repair, it was just done to a very high standard and the rest of the car is like new. Wouldn’t worry me, just do your full research.

Well thankfully there’s no XX on the sheet so no panel replacement. The C means interior Andy in case you wondered. So basically it’s got, or had some dents, chips etc the usual stuff, it’s a 20 year old car, it’s expected to be fair.

More hmm from me. Reason for the grade 3 doesn’t seem to be the bodywork - looks good on the auction sheet. Pity nobody here speaks Japanese, as I expect the reason for the low grade is amongst all the writing on the left of the auction sheet.
55,000 miles and good bodywork, but grade 3 = Minor alarm bells. Minor because whatever was wrong may have been fixed.
I’d be asking the seller why it was only grade 3 - might be the non functioning DCCD, but who knows.

I agree with Rossy boy, I have been doing lots of googling and the bodywork is good, I have a video of a walk around, I think the little dents have been pulled out, there is still a couple of little scratches on it. Other than that it is straight, interior is quite scruffy, more than you would expect from a 55k mile car? The dccd issue bothers me and so from that I think I am going pass this time, I have another to look at on Saturday which is not so much money and doesn't look quite as sexy but it could!!
