Default WRX-S Boost

Hello. So I bought a 2009 WRX-S about a month ago. Mods on the car that I know of are K&N panel filter, some kind of after market 4 exit exhaust, forged pistons and an exedy clutch.

At the weekend a I threw a boost gauge onto it, to see what it was running. It showed 12 psi. Does that seem about right? I've been googling to try to find the answer but couldn't find it specifically for the WRX-S.

from googling i think it’s the same as a wrx , so boost seems about correct , boost gauges are often inaccurate , new fuel pump and mapping time maybe ?? lol

Thanks for the reply's. I thought it seemed about right.

No maps for now though, as I have a 12 month warranty, so no changes allowed.

I have discovered a 4WD rolling road about 2 miles from me that I never knew about, so I'm going to take it down just to check that its running as it should be. It feels good, but it will be good to get it checked over

when you get a chance and can warranty wise , an exhaust cat back fuel pump and remap make a big difference , who’s warranty subaru ? go prodrive ? it’s more expensive but covered under warranty as it’s dealer approved

Its just the warranty that I got from the garage I bought if from, which was included in the price. It's not bad so is worth having.

I'll just run the car for 12 months, then make a few changes. Unless the rolling road shows a problem somewhere.

Is remapping (upping the boost) not one of the main reasons for HG failure on the 2.5?
