Default Does anyone have knowledge on Clifford Alarms ??? Strange Issue

I have a Clifford Concept 600 on my scoob which has developed a strange issue.

Basically when i unlock/ disarm the system and put the keys in, it turns off the immobiliser but it does not switch the ignition on ( no dash lights etc ) which means i can crank the car but obviously it wont start.

However if i put the keys in a press the 'boot release' button on the fob, the ignition comes on and car does start as normal. HOWEVER, car will then be switched off automatically after about 2 mins.

i know its a long shot but does anyone have any ideas??? i know nothing about these alarm systems but I'm baffled

Cheers

My advice is to find a Clifford approved installer and get them to have a look for you,i'm pretty sure that Clifford alarms come with a long warranty, unless someone knows your key fob settings it would be pretty hard to advise.SJ.

@stonejedi Cheers for quick response mate, from a bit of research today i am fairly confident the 'boot release' button has been linked to the Turbo Timer function, this is because after starting the car using this button, i can actually remove the keys, leave the car and lock it., and it will continue to run for a few mins before turning off.

The advice from my closet authorised dealer was to simply have the system removed and replaced with a Concept 650mkll for £650+. which id rather avoid if possible

ill contact a few more and hopefully get some different advice. ill just kick myself if its a simple fix/ settings change which is needed.

Sounds like a proper salesman that you spoke to Lol,9 times out of 10 Joe it will most probably be just a sensor or settings fault that a Clifford alarm installer could sort out for you rather easy...SJ.
