Legacy Turbo saloon (1992 K)
and before that
Mazda 323 4wd Turbo Lux (1987 E)
Brilliant times bombing down country lanes to 'catch up' with later stages. That 323 could have done for Mazda what the Impreza did for Subaru if they could have got a 2.0 turbo in it instead of a 1.6 turbo when it was launched. It was SO agile and as balanced as a Delta integrale. I took ridiculous liberties in that car.
Loved the Legacy in equal measures - just as much a Q car but with lots of tasty, laggy punch.
Colin + Impreza + Prodrive = WRC

Those were the days.
I grew up in Nairobi, my dad use to scrutineer in the Safari Rally, joginder singh, and i always use to go to the rallys as a kid. the triple sss and celica were my favorites. But the flat 4 from the legacy is what made me follow the subaru scene.
