back in a scooby , what have i done

Default back in a scooby , what have i done

Well at 49 you would have thought i would have grown out of scoobies by now , having owned 9 in the past 20 odd years . Then when my two sons now own one each a 2006 sti type uk widetrack and a brz , all i get is get another one dad you boring old T**t so i did , bought it from hurst cars its a 2006 sti type uk widetrack running 370 bhp .

You have no idea what you’re talking about. A wide track blob eye is as good as the UK cars get - they’re very desirable.

Yes there are better JDM cars, but not everyone wants the hassle that can come with them like the insurance and not being sure on replacement parts.

There is no hassle with insurance or spare parts with a JDM car.

I disagree John. We have 4 import cars between me and the Mrs and you can’t just use compare the market or euro parts

You need to know who to go to and what you’re asking for. UK cars are a doddle in comparison.

I've been driving JDM cars for 20 years, there are no parts issues. Most parts are identical between UK and JDM.

I suspect my insurance is cheaper than most UK Impreza owners.

Icp is go to parts supplier for me

cars running vf43 turbo , equal length headers with de cat exhaust, k+n cold air induction, 3 port solonoid, rcm upgraded fuel pump and remapped by fb tuning

Its easy for you because you’ve been driving them for 20 years and know them inside out. Yes, ‘most’ parts, but the average joe doesn’t know which ones.

The insurance on my Spec C RA is £400, so probably cheaper than most uk owners too. Was still more hassle to get than 5 minutes online

lovley car mate , i have just got another one too (age 55) 55 plate wide track , these young lads think they invented running performance cars, i have been doing it most of my life and will do until they remove my driving licence from my old boney hands

Lovely example Ignore the numpty that stated its the worst spec engine 😂 I ran the same engine for 8 years at over 500bhp and it took everything I threw at it.

Thinking of getting another one last had one in 1998.im 50yrs now but watching top gear last week and the mcare special bought it all back.do you all still flash your lights when you see each other

I am in my 50s also and I am normally in too much in shock to flash my lights if I see another one when out in my classic... However I did flash my lights when I saw a black Catalunya classic last year when driving my Audi. Hope he didn't think his exhaust had fallen off or something...

don't see so many around when I had mine but great to see and hear them and they will always turns head.as I've lost touch in the years is it the running costs,insurance,etc
