Default What engine case is this?

Hi all,
Does anyone know what this engine came out of?

I can't seem to find any concrete information on the Z20 code. I understand the 704 is the casting if I'm correct.

Thanks,
ET

this might help. As far as I understand an STi replacement block (704) and 2 litre (R20)

Thank you for the info!

Is there any lead on what Z20 stands for?

pretty sure it simply a casting reference code.........not sure it 'means' anything

in basic terms there are 3x types of new-age turbo rear thrust 2.0 blocks.......open deck, semi-closed deck and the Hatch Spec-C "thick walled" block (which if its one of the new ones isn't really!!)
