I have been looking for a car out in Osaka, wasn't really looking for an Impreza but seen this car and kind of fell in love with it.
The car is a 2006 STI with 20,900km,
Has Blister wide body kit, carbon rear wing. 18" Rays Volk TE37 alloys with Potenza RE11 245/40/18 tyres.
Apexi induction kit, tomei extreme manifold, tomei turbo, HKS front pipe and HKS hyperspec R titanium exhaust. SARD fuel pump, ARC TMIC, APEX computer, APEX AVC-R boost controller.
Reinforced engine mounts, 7 point roll cage, Coilovers, ARC front and rear stabilizer, EXEDY triple plate clutch.
Endless 6 pot front calipers and 4 pot on back. Endless disc's and break pads, also endless brake hoses.
Momo steering wheel, recaro bucket seat.
The car has a lot of work done to it, its very clean and with low millage. The price is around £20,000 on the road, which is a lot for a Hawkeye but with this much done to it and the low millage, is this price worth it?
There's something a bit odd about such a low mileage example having had so much work done; as you probably know, low mileage cars are normally totally original. Have you seen a Bimta certificate, or checked history, as clocking is rife at dealers in Japan?
Wow, I can honestly say there's not a single part of that kit that I like! buy it for £20k and it a years time be forced to sell it for £10k as no one wants it.
As a token response...there is something quite appealing about that, in a full on Japanese time attack way.
If it floats your boat, and it is certainly unique, go for it.....the JDM way is much better quality than anything the UK chavs attempt!

Yep. It’s not my cuppa but if that sort of thing is OP’s cuppa then it may be a cool move rather than the uk equivalent of some screwed on group 5 mini arches (or whatever they were called when I was young)
Very niche market for that so would be very hard to sell on at £20K in the UK to anyone else, if you are keeping it for the next 15 years then maybe. If you find you want to cash it in after 18 months or so you will be loosing a whole chuck of change to move that on.
Nothing about an upgraded engine, just all bolt ons so no idea why the triple plate clutch
The price of the car is 20k to be on the road in Japan, I would not have been sending it to the UK yet. My plan is to buy a car and keep it for a over a year, then send to UK, this means I pay no tax.

Plan would have been to keep it for a while, there is very little done to the engine by the looks of it.

I don't know why but I have never moved on from the wild bodykit looking cars, as long as it looks well done, the quality of work on this is very good. I understand that I need to make different decisions based on if its a car for me or to sell.

Japan are very much still in to fast and furious looking cars, car has a good base to build on for track days.

Yeah it is common, didn't look in to it that much but garage claims they have the paperwork to prove the mileage.
