Default Hawk / blob steering wheel compatibility

Hi peeps

quick question will a air bag module from a blob Sti fit a
hawk steering wheel

seen a wheel for sale from a hawk for a friend and wondering if If I can fit
his blob airbag to it

anyone tried this ??

Why do you say that shreksta?,, have you tried it looking at the back of the wheels they look identical
o can’t see why it wouldn’t

I could be wrong but I'm sure I read it on here when I was researching steering wheels before I bought my DAMD wheel.

I have fitted a hawkeye wheel and also a widetrack blob wheel to a narrow track blob.
no issues with the wheel as its identical but some of the airbags have different connections although you can change the plugs on clock spring or the clock spring itself.

Hi mate it's my steering wheel. I swapped mine for a damd. Looking online the damd that I have is for 04+

The Hawkeye steering wheel is the same as the MY05 widetrack blob (so May04 onwards) (possibly off black instead of grey)
Again airbag the same from MY05 onwards.

Slightly off topic.

Will a either a Blobeye / Hawkeye steering wheel fit a 2002 STI Bugeye?
