Hi all
I'm toying with the idea of getting a 2007 hawk sti A-line, I just want to know are the A-lines the same as other Jim's in terms of forged pistons, nitrided crack , semi closed deck , 8k red line etc etc ?
Also what are the differences of the A-line ?
Trying to find a better source of info but I thought the Hawkeye A Line was 2L JDM EJ with 6MT. When they moved away from the Hawk to the Hatch body style the A Line went 2.5 and 5 speed Auto. Did have the applied model code but can’t find it just now to check a better source of info.
Sorry if I have this wrong but don’t think I do. No offence meant.

I thought all A-lines were autos, so I guess that’s a new thing learned today!

amazing how many people still think they do........
I got that piece of information from you mate your explanation was very informative in a previous post. I think we need to talk about it more and spread the word as they say
in practice they appear to be far more brittle than a std or factory forged style piston (note aftermarket forged pistons are generally far stronger anyhows)
fine whilst working but ultimately suffer ringland failure if subjected to slightly out of kilter fuelling, etc.....
