Got my 2006 sti type uk widetrack for sale on here and ebay and havent had anybody actually ring me let alone look at the car , had some daft offers via message 8k to 9k . Got it up for £10500 which i think is a reasonable price considering the condition and mods on the car . I thought the impreza market would be quite strong as there are not that many good examples left or is it coronavirus that is stopping people from buying at the moment .
Its because its overpriced, I'm looking at the moment and the ones that are worth the premium are low mileage standard ones.
if i was you I'd ****** the hand off of the 9k offer.
Its by no means a daft offer.
most buyers do research into the car/owners before buying.
Some issues that would put me off the car.
1.only owned since March....why is it up for sale so soon??
2.crap advert, no real info, poor pictures engine bay looks filthy.
3.judging by your threads you seem pretty clueless mechanically so another alarm bell.
4. Undesirable colour, most owners want wr blue or white

Something I’ve noticed recently and not with just Subaru’s but all cars are that prices are very high at the moment compared to what they where before coronavirus, they seem to have made a drastic jump just after the lockdown ended. Because of this I’ve been holding out from buying anything until winter when people are saying prices will drop and go back to normal once the dust settles
Also no one really knows what’s going to happen next so for a lot of people it’s quite risky buying a car when next month they could be redundant or in a second coronavirus wave
Saying all this I have seen some STI’s with decent mileage and condition at around the £7.5k-8k mark very recently

People are jumping on the bandwagon and thinking their rusty no history high mileage car is worth the same as a clean standard historied jdm.
Then wondering why they can't sell it.
Seen it all, crash damage, unmapped mods, budget tyres, serviced by tony hough.....
Sold 4 Impreza STi models prices ranging from £8995-£13k all within the last 4/5 weeks. Second hand car market prices have increased substantially in the last couple of months. Used cars in Auction are making over cap guide prices..
If the car is a good one and the price is fair / realistic it will sell easy enough.
i sold my hawk sti last week to a well known online raffle business. i sent them every single detail about the car and a load of pics, they came to view it then paid my asking price and shoved it on a low loader. i couldnt be arsed with dealing with numpties coming to my house wanting to thrash it on a test drive so thats why i went to these guys. easiest car sale ive ever done and will use them again.

yes it was mate, i had my fair share of issues with it but nothing major in the 3 years i owned it. mainly boost issues due to crappy boost clamps but i replaced them with murray clamps and it was fine then.
they made £6k profit in ticket sales as it sold out.

Yeah a boy in the club won it on way back was overheating now the company is paying for a engine rebuild on the hawk. There is so many of those companies now like haha

oh yeah deffo, even if he sold it to a breaker he would get around £4500 so wont be out of pocket either way. i had a cheeky ticket on my own car but didnt win, if i would have won i would have sold it straight back to them and doubled my money
