Hi I have a 53 reg wrx blobeye td04 13t turbo looking to replace the core only is this ok and what would you recommend as a few on ebay but are they any good ?
I presume housing should be ok just mine the oil seal is leaking

 

I'd speak with Craig Bellworthy, he's on FaceBook. He has a good reputation and will be able to give good advice and do the work at a reasonable price.

If you are handy with the spanners it is pretty easy to change that seal... Loads of videos on eBay to show how it's done.

If there's no damage to the blades on turbine or compressor wheel, it will be a sub 50 operation if you do it yourself (maybe 60 including up-pipe and downpipe gaskets).
