Default Newage power steering pump in classic Impreza?

Hello,

I have a GC8 version 6 with the EJ207 and my steering pump is leaking.

Has anyone tried to fit the GD or newer EJ207 power steering pump on to a classic, because classic steering pumps are hard to come by where I'm from.

Thinking it might work IF I use the newer pump bracket that corresponds with the newer pump and make custom lines with AN fittings and stainless steel braided hose to connect them up.

I tried search function but nothing meaningful came up so any comments regarding to this is most welcomed.

Thank you.

I converted my pump to an external resovoir and used an e92 M3 resovoir (probably better designed resovoirs out there)

I got the conversion part from ICP elongated the holes and turned it around to run round the back of the alternator

Works fine so far no more wining or leaks!

Used on track as well to great effect compared to the original
Still need to tidy it up a bit

That is a great spot to mount the reservoir but my car is not a track car and I still have the AC compressor in place.
Which year STi is that pump from and which part is needed to bolt it up to the car if I may ask?

Mine is a version 5 pump (car is version 5)

Roger Clarke do a relocation kit bit it's quite pricey does come with everything thing though

The part I used is a standard Subaru part from a newage pump with external resovoir

Thank you, I have a general idea now.
Looks like I'll need to remove my inter-cooler spray reservoir to make room for the power steering reservoir.
