Default HELP PLEASE!

Hi all, had my car built and new turbo and all the rest of it the company had the car since August due to covid which is understandable took a bit longer than usual to finish.

Now its near completion the mappers I had planned cant map now as the roads are wet so my cars currently in Melton mowbary but it can't be driven

Is there any recommendation for mappers that have rolling facilties near me Northamptonshire or liecester.

My problem is that I'll have to pay for it to be trailered to my house and leave it standing till next year for a dry day then pay for it to be trailered to the mappers costing me twice as much

Kind of stuck

Cheers all

Are tdr not far from Leicester? As stated get it done properly and pay abit extra if necessary. Scoobyclinic are spot on, tdr aswell...Duncan done a great job with my old blobeye but as already stated he seems to have upset a few people with good reason apparently but he was great with me years ago. Good luck 👍

Is that the only person they allow to use there dyno ? Have asked them the question of hiring the dyno for a mapper that I was going to use.

I'll contact tdr then by the looks of it see if I get any luck there.

If not will be double the cost of moving it and will be sat for god knows how long in the garage so no doubt will have air locks and seized brakes more blodsy cost before I get it mapped

Couldn't you get trailered to any mapper/garage of your choice then get the train to pick up when ready?

Then if it was me I'd get it trailered to rich at fb tuning in high Wycombe, leave it with him and collect on train.
he maps on the road too.
I am biased as he's the only person I've used but been spot on every time.

Its also been said before that if you just get it mapped by a mapper then any faults that need looking at by a mechanic won't be addressed as thats all a mapper does MAP.
if you send it to a mechanic that also maps then they will inform you of any issues and sort it as they go along.
strange also that they can't map because of wet roads.
There not wet all the time?
If you've spent so much money with cotton can't you ask for alternatives?

THWAITES also build the engines so you would be in safe hands if any issues appeared

Cheers all , looking like will be tdr or zen performance , although zen maps on the road too

I contacted 3 mappers all to which map on road and all said its weather dependent some very reputable ones aswel I won't be saying names

The place that has built the car are great bit the mapper they use is weather dependent again not ideal as will have to trailer home to trailer back again

Really would just be happy with a safe map on rolling road until dry weather next year for road map

Guessing its just the wrong time of year for road mapping

bit thanks all for your help great bunch

I've not been in a car while mapping but I guess you need to gun it at some point.
1c outside and the risk of ice isn't probably worth it for a mapper.

what all spec have you had done to the car? you'd think you'd be able to get a base map on to the car to at least let you drive away at it until better weather/full mapping
