Default PFF7 Wheels

Hey guys. Owner of a hawk 07 STI here. Just wondering what’s the recommended tyres to run with the prodrive pff7?

I currently have 225/40/18s.

Ideally I want them wider so will 235/40/18 be fine? I don’t want to run spacers or is that not a bad thing?

Thanks...

So what are the best all season tyres? As a matter of fact, I don’t mind using summer tyres in winter... going for a 235/40/18

i don't see any benefit to go 225 to 235 tyres other than an increase in cost as 225/40/18 is a very popular fitment.

You will also stretch the tyre slightly and impact the performance imho.

Fair enough. I’ve read that MY06 onwards came with 235 for PFF7s and would also like to fit the arches a bit more...

Lol! I don’t want to compromise on performance at all. I’d rather have wide tires with thick sidewalls than some low profiles. I’m just saying my car IMO would look better on wider and bigger tires and I’m looking for something, which will fit and compliment the pff7’s. Appreciate the advice though. I’ll look into the PS4s.

I know someone who has 10mm rear spaces on his Blobeye (not me) for that exact reason

If you want wider tyres it's a perfect excuse to get wider wheels which will fill your arches better. But they'll also need rolling, flaring or hammering to accommodate them.

PFF7's are 8" wide which is clearly far superior to the 7.5" I have on my 2003

I have Michellin PS4's & they're awesome! Great in the dry, great in the wet & wear well too, I am never bothered about ragging it in the wet as they just stick. If you watch car Youtube Channels like Living Life Fast or Officially Gassed you'll notice pretty much every car reviewed has them on.

Thank you for this! I’ll be sticking with the pff7’s. Yeah, big fan of those channels and I think my mind has been made. PS4’s it is!

@Huzaifa let's see what you went for.
I'm fitting my pff's next week and torn between 225 and 235. Like you I'd like to fill the arch on my hawk also but don't want rubbing on a 40mm drop.

I’ve gone for Rota force 18x9 et30. Will
be on 225/40/18. A nice flush fitment. Will
be selling my pff7 now…
