Default JDM Gen 4 Legacy tbSTi incoming

Sometime in Feb or March I should be taking delivery of a lovely JDM Gen 4 (2007 facelift) Legacy Tuned by STi auto Wagon. I've ordered it through BHP Imports in the NE.
It'll be getting whisked up to Silverstone Autos / Group B Motorsport (does Graham still work there?) to be remapped for UK spec fuel. I'd also like it up around the 290 crank BHP mark if at all possible.
I don't plan on modifying it much, if at all, but just want it to be a nice drive and something a little different.

The Legacy tbSTi is essentially a Legacy GT SPec.B with the following mods:
full STi interior
18" x 7.5 Enkei STi wheels
STi Aerodynamic package
STi gauges
STi bilstein shocks and springs
STi chassis components (including pillow ball linkages)
STi Flexible Tower Bar
Braided hoses
STi 4 & 2 pot Brembos
STi Genome exhaust (quad exit)
STi tuned TCU and ECU

It's basically the same as this (image from DriveTribe/TorqueGT):

Welcome. Very nice. Its a 2.5, isn't it? I don't think they have large tuning parameters, and you need to be very careful of heat soak with the small tmic. I'm sure that you're aware of the 2.5 weaknesses, but if not check out the sticky at the top of the threads. Is it manual?
Awesome sleeper though.

My mistake, I was thinking of the S402. That's good news.

The engine is an EJ20X. It's an open deck, with forged crank, forged rods, aluminium pistons with forged crowns. Also fitted with twin cam heads featuring Dual AVCS. In the 2007 the turbo is a Twin Scroll ball bearing IHI VF45 turbo.

Although they have forged components, they will be fragile over 300bhp (so I've been led to believe).

My Blitzen has the EJ20Y (same engine but manual) mapped to 305 BHP. Like you, I was told this was about the sensible limit for this engine. I've done over 40k miles so would appear fairly safe at this level. My clutch failed rather drastically so I have gone to a Stage 2 and swapped out the dual-mass to standard flywheel.

That's reassuring to know. Who mapped yours and does it have other mods?

Here are some pics of mine at the docks waiting for loading onto the ship at the end of the month.
