Default Rear Diff Oil Change

Hi all,

2007 STi Hawk.
I feel like changing my rear diff oil, not been done in probably 3 or 4 years....or so.

Looking at my owners manual, this will be the one I need :

https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-899-mot...smission%20Oil

However, will 1 litre be enough?

Also, would I need new washers for the drain and fill plugs?

******Edit, found in the manual that the oil capacity is 1 litre , So, drain and fill plug washers needing to be replaced when I change it?******

Many Thanks,

Matt

Just to add, no you dont need any washers but always free the fill off first (top plug) they can be really tight if not been removed for a while.

Thanks Jay, yes saw that tip on Youtube. Just watched another video where the bloke does the draining first without touching the filler plug....brave man! lol

Ok, but the book states the 75/90 oil in my post, is my rear diff LSD then?

Not sure why the manuals say that, yeh its an lsd you can use the 75//90 but the 90pa oil is a far better oil for it.

This, make sure you can open the filler plug first.
