An annoying what's it worth thread
I'll be putting my car up for sale shortly and just getting all the receipts and stuff in order and making a proper ad up, but I'm baffled by the current market on average cars online, granted there doesn't seem to be many for sale but the prices seem rediculous.
I've an 03 blob sti with 84k miles it's a PPP car with certificate and fully documented service history for its full life, cars running 403bhp with 365lb and I've owned it the last 7 years and spent a good bit it's had new pink box clutch, timing belt and water pump have been done, also had new sills, cross member, radiator panel etc, it's been a well looked after car with a good spec and all the potential rot issues have been tackled at the first sign.
I'm looking to see people's opinion on here for a rough price guide rather than the muppets on Facebook calling each other bruv.
Any comments welcomed and yes I'm aware of how annoying the what's it worth and testing the water threads are lol

There's several things that will play a part in pricing a car like this.
Firstly condition. These cars are prone to rust and the more you have the lower the value.
Secondly. Spec. Saying it's a 400hp car doesn't tell me much. How the car drives is more important and that's depending on the mapping, turbo and supporting mods.
The PPP really doesn't add much value when the car has been modified like this.
Mileage and service history sound good which is positive.
How long do you want to wait for a buyer? cheaper cars will obviously sell quicker.
Fresh JDM imports are currently fetching £13k so I would say that's heading towards a top price on a non-widetrack UK car. It would fetch more if it has an exceptionally high spec though.
If the body is poor, I'd put it up for £9k and be prepared for people to haggle. If the body is very clean and it has a decent spec then I'd put it up for £12,995. Average body or cheaper mods, £10, 500 - £11,500.

I'd broadly go along with adam for a "next" month sale. final price 9-10,5 k
I think its really hard to ask for more than 10k right now / not so many are going to view a specialised car
or find punters potentially travelling all over the country just not allowed / all show rooms shut etc.
However as this is a modified car you are asking for some recognition of that in the value.
So certainly look more to split the bills between the expected service items (which everyone expects to have been done )
you don't need to say how much you paid for these. Try not to use words like "thousands spent"
But do detail the modification bills into areas of interest,
Road holding Wheels Tyres / Suspension
Bodywork Spoiler types / sills
Brakes
Engine
Engine Management done by .......
Perhaps quote a performance yardstick (don't use your 0-60) your not going to ruin your clutch on the day for them,
use instead 30-70 mph in each gear which they can check if you test drive together. And will give them something to compare to any car they currently drive.
Do compare that to the original Subaru figures , your car is better than standard so that's why they are coming and are prepared to pay more for it right.
I bought mine in South London whilst living in Frankfurt, you have less on offer in Germany
very few cars are left and the best of them are sitting on the Dutch importers car parks.
Check Autoscout in the EU search.for a broader idea of the higher EU prices for our cars.
My tip would be sell it in spring / lock down relaxed get a thousand more.
