Default Yahoo JP Auctions - importing to the UK

This seems a bit of a minefield but I've found some parts I want on Yahoo JP, but it seems you can't bid or buy stuff from outside Japan without the assistance of a proxy service. Which if you're buying a pair of trousers seems quite straight forward but most of the ones I've looked at don't seem to touch a lot of car parts because they have oil in them and they only use air freight. Has anyone on here ever imported stuff before and has a proxy service they would recommend for car parts? I know that in Australia you have Import Monster who do use surface freight if necessary but sadly they don't have a UK arm!

Help please (and thanks in advance)!!

Rhdjapan will do parts through their subsidiary Bidjdm, and possibly Japanparts ( Fpan can confirm this)
But be aware, they charge more than the proxy buying firms, because they have to be licensed to export oily products.

Okay, thanks, just looking at their site now. The big cost from them seems to be surface shipping which is massively more expensive than air freight. I've asked if they're able to ship what I'm after by air mail or if as I suspect it does need to be done via surface. Their actual proxy charges seem pretty reasonable to me given what they're doing and that none of the others seem to offer the service for oily car parts.

I haven't personally used them but I have seen them used by youtubers for non car items. Might be worth an email.

Buyee
FromJapan
these are the 2 sites I use

I bought a intercooler bottle for my Type R and Buyee wouldn't let me bid but From Japan would

Have a look at the FAQs on both sites as what as there are taxes, domestic freight costs, handling cost etc and then import charges when they arrive here although my last purchase (see above) i didn't get an charges...a result of Brexit perhaps?

Yeah, but Buyee and From Japan don't ship shocks or used brakes, or anything with oil or petrol

I used jauce before for non oily car parts and it worked very well, only thing all them fees, postage and customs do add up.

Thanks all, much appreciated! I have found another one from trawling forums called Jesse Streeter/ Streeter Corp (a guy who lives in Japan and seems to get a good rep on Aussie sites), has anyone used him on here? Ultimately I am after some difficult to find parts so therefore if a premium needs to be paid then it needs to be paid. If that's to someone like BidJDM as @hedgecutter suggested then so be it.

The biggest issue seems to be with anything that can potentially have oil residue in it, although I do wonder if this is actually an issue with these other proxy providers if they've signed it off in advance that they're happy to take it? Has anyone 'appealed' a blocked auction before and not had any bother (or alternatively had bother!)?
