ok so here is the deal,
I have the oppurtunity to buy mrt headers and supposedly they give 20 bhp and 10lbs, but they take away the sweet rumble of the scooby's flat four engine. My question is, do u think it is worth it? anyone have any experience with changing headers?
cheers

Nick,
The MRT headers are not equal length, so whilst you may lose a little rumble, it still sounds pretty good.
If the headers are second hand, inspect them very carefully. Particuarly where they have welded the "pairs" of pipes together (on the curved sections) I found one set to have cracked quite badly. They are repairable, but it's more hassle. If they are wrapped/lagged, insiston it being removed.
Oh, they made a massive difference to my car![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif)
