What's it worth - Blobeye WRX
I'm currently sitting with a subaru legacy i've been trying to sell but no takers so far, the only reason I wanted to sell it is because i thought it would fetch a lot more money than my impreza but I've redcued the price a few times now and I think the gap between the two is a lot smaller than it was.
Obviously it's hard to tell with these things until you actually sell them but wondering if anyone had a rough idea what I might get.
2003 blobeye WRX
94k on the clock
MOT until march next year, no advisories
good bodywork, no rust
bc coilovers all round
prodrive exhaust
recent remap at TDR (went from 259bhp to 279 bhp and 292 ft lbs)
I've currently got my legacy up for sale at 7.5k, i know the impreza is worth less than this but just wondering if it would come close to the 6k mark. I've got 2 weeks of advertising left on the leggy so will let that run out anyway as I really need as much money out of these as possible but I'd feel a bit better about the lack of interest on the leggy if you lovely people can give me lots of good news and tell me this car is worth more than I think it is lol.
Couple of pics (i'll take new ones where it's not covered in frost if I decide to sell it instead of the leggy lol).

are you from the past? I know it's worth more than that I saw one with an engine cutting out sell on auction for £3800 but thanks for the input.
You know 2010 was 11 years ago?

What I’d do personally mate is get it all gleaming, those pictures are not good and it’s not appealing. Get a good valet and get a couple coats of carnauba wax on it, start from there 👍

It might be ok, think I've just sold the leggy, 5 weeks of advertising with no real interest. 16 minutes after talking about selling th eimpreza i get a message from someone wanting to buy it
I thougt the impreza was probably worth around 5k but seen a few on ebay going for around the 4-6k mark in varying condition and mine seems in better nick than some of those so thought i might get lucky with it.
This one has 140k on the shell and 98k on the engine and is at 4.9k with 2 days to go, does look cooler than mine with the stickers though to be fair.

It's a tough market at the moment. The very low mileage and limited edition cars are selling for silly prices, anything that's a bit special has suddenly become desirable. Unfortunately that hasn't really translated to the whole market so I'd say £5k if you can find the right buyer, otherwise it would be a bit less.
The people buying these cars are looking for investment and a standard WRX doesn't hold a lot of value in parts. Not that I'm bagging on the WRX, I owned one for 8 years an it was a great car, probably the most reliable scooby I've owned; but the fact remains that the parts are not very desirable. This is why the gap between the STi and WRX is growing.

Thanks for the responses, yeah the market seems very tough at the minute, been really difficult to sell the leggy so I'm fingers crossed for that to sell.
Always hard to tell how much a car is actually worth because you see loads for sale at silly prices and get excited. The only one on auction I saw go for less than 4k (3.8k) had over 100k in the clock and the advert said the engine cut out at traffic lights intermittently so I'd be very surprised to get less than that for mine as mine actually runs well lol

I'm not sure which one is doing the other but any time immotors turns up, jdmstiblahblah isn't far behind. It's like the reincarnation of PSLewis.

Thanks for the responses everyone, someone is coming to buy the legacy tomorrow subject to a viewing and a test drive so looks like I'll be keeping the Impreza anyway which is good because I need the extra money for comfort food and alcohol over my eternal disappointment over not being able to afford an sti lol.
This might be an unpopular thing to say on this forum but if I could afford an sti I'd probably be looking at evo's lol

. Was that sentence enough to get me banned from the forum lol?
I do love my wrx's to be fair, had two now and I love the handling above all else, never had anything else stick to the road so well and I'm sure an sti is a big improvement on the humble chav wagon that is the WRX.

A decent Evo will cost you 15-20 bags nowadays and if you thought maintaining a Scooby is expensive then an Evo will make your nose bleed. Great track cars but totally uncompromising on the road. Scooby over Evo all day long for me, unless it’s a track car and then for that money there’s much better track cars!

I’d personally love an evo, there’s a evo 9 mr fq 360 hks on eBay for something like 36g......Looks absolutely fantastic but give me a uk blobeye sti widetrack for half the price any day. Even the evo 6 is flying up in value. The evo 4 isn’t though and are still relatively cheap

for that price it’s competing with GTRs and 911s, that’s pretty strong competition! That’s not to mention the list price for a brand new Yaris GR!! I’ve driven a few Evos in my time and I know where I’d be spending my money, I’ll take a brand new Yaris please. Never thought I’d ever say that..😂

To be fair I've never driven an evo and they might not live up to the hype, they do look sweet though and I'd have one or possibly a skyline if I had the money. You can keep nasty Porsche and yarises lol

spot on mate 👍 I’ve been in a couple evo 5 and 6 and I’d much prefer my Subaru. Obviously it’s the rarity that’s pushing the value up and not the actual drive. My mate has an essy cos with 68 thousand miles odd on it and it drives awful, It’s 400bhp and he has a 375bhp mountune focus rs in blue. It drives a million times better than the cossie.I Know there worth a fortune but it’s certainly not because of the drive quality 👎

Wow, do you behave like this in public too, or just when you're gonna faceless forum that you've already been banned from for being, well, a bit of a ****?
It amazes me how most people can actually have an adult conversation without resorting to being a negative influence, but there are always a couple who manage to do just that, seemingly because they have nothing going on in their life other than trying to antagonise people they've never met.
