2014 STI Head Gasket
Driving 2014 STI from Newcastle to Edinburgh last Thursday with 49k miles
Mix of Sport & Sports Sharp driving nothing stupid though
1) Temp gauge spiked from mid point but not right into the red at Coldstream
2) Drove 30 miles on to Edinburgh at low speeds with heater on full hot
3) Next day checked coolant completely gone
4) Edinburgh Subaru garage diagnosed both head gaskets failed
5) Quoted £2245 for repair - No cost breakdown just a number pulled out the air
Seems way too low miles for this to happen
Repair cost seems crazy
Advice appreciated

Not out of the realms of possibility, hopefully no ringland failure as well.
A common problem on all the later EJ257 engined models not just the Hatches.

Price quoted would be a Subaru menu price to do the job.
As the engine has to come out probably time to get it Forged and future proofed.
