Default It’s The Little Things

Mums Forester failed its MOT today thanks to a water filled headlight. Figured I’d give them a quick going over with some satin black in a rattle can while I had to take them apart and the difference is stunning in my opinion:

Now does anybody know of some silver indicator bulbs that’ll fit (WY21W) to get rid of the orange reflection behind the lens?

Cheers Don. Shame the LED’s are so expensive. I did google for them but couldn’t find any known brands and bulbs aren’t something I like to go unknown with. Maybe I’ll take another look.

I wouldn't worry too much about unknown brands with those bulbs. I bought a set of HIDs for the projectors on the daily. I looked at reviews and bought some that seemed decent. Had them in over a year before the car was written off. Difference was night and day. If you got halogen bulbs for your dipped beams then I'd go with the Phillips, price is often decent on them but avoid the 150% vision they are the same as the 130% but just pushed much harder so burn out far quicker.

Side lights again I've thrown in cheap ones and for the most part were fine, just depends on if the car has a canbus system that will throw up a warning.

Discovered the Osram’s earlier. Will probably end up with a set of those.

Sadly the Osram’s have a bit of a flaw. The indicators flash too quickly just like if a bulb was blown. I guess they’re not pulling enough power so I’ve had to refit the orange halogen bulbs to get the car through the MOT. Probably means I won’t touch them again unless a bulb blows.
