HELP! loose dash compartment - removal
#1
Hello all
The lid on my centre dash compartment has worked its way loose, so that it no longer supports its own weight when open. Also, it twists and squeaks like there is no tomorrow.
Is it easy to remove the lid without taking the whole dash apart? Is this a common fault? I dont want to cause more squeaks
Any help appreciated

The lid is retained by 2 screws on either side under their covers.
The difficult bit is pulling the unit out towards you. It is tight and you may need to take a vent or vents out to pull it.
The retaining "tangs" are on either side.
Best to give it a short sharp pull, rather than constant pressure to break them free.
