yes often so......................
regardless of what we think of this advert the prices of ALL cars has been rising exponentially for the last 18months and in a world where P1's have sold for £50K+ and 22b's nearer £300K where exactly do you think (what appears to be) a restored low mileage Turbo2000 should be value wise??

If folk are buying at these prices then that's where the market is. No different to paying £1000 for a PS5 or £2000 for a graphics card or £5000 for a mountain bike - some of the things that have just mushroomed in price.
Why shouldn't these cars go up in price? I remember seeing E30 M3s at £5K. I almost bought a Lancia Evo 1 in 2007 for £6,000 thinking it was "a bit expensive". I sold a Nissan GTIR in 2001 for £4,500 now they're £15K more or less.
I always thought it was Subaru owners that scoffed at asking prices but it's fairly widespread these days amongst manufacturers. You don't see Escort Cossie owners (at least I haven't) rinsing an owner for asking £50K for one.
Question is, will the prices drop back down once COVID fear subsides and what will happen to prices as petrol stations begin to close due to lack of demand?

Petrol forecourts will not be closing for decades yet. While the uk government has said the sale of ice vehicles will be banned from 2030, that is for new vehicles made after that date. That is if the government doesn’t back track on that date when it comes to it.
It just won’t be feasible for everyone in the country that runs a vehicle to be able to charge it from home. How are people that live above the ground floor of a block of flats going to charge a vehicle from home.
How are people that are only able to park on the street and maybe not even outside their own home going to charge a vehicle without creating a trip hazard over the pathways outside their homes.
How are families with a husband that needs to charge a van, a wife that needs to charge her car, and maybe two or more children that drive going to charge their vehicles at the same time over night.
people will stick with petrol power for a long time yet.

Well considering someone bought a low mile, good nick impreza from a dealer for £10,000 a few weeks ago, i can't see how one with more miles for £17.999 on a private sale.
This P1 sold last week for £26,000, also nice clean 1995 WRX import sold for £4.500 or an RB5 for £7000, still think the least rare classic impreza is still worth £17.999?

But thats not what people are paying for these cars, just what one random seller has his listed for.
Here's a mint WRX £8,999, thats 9 grand less than a uk car, and more rare and sought after and had £7,000 spent on it.
https://www.gumtree.com/p/subaru/sub...ors/1407567565
And by stating petrol stations are going to close, i can't see how this is going to happen any time soon. There's not one electric charging point anywhere near me, and how many people have there cars parked by there houses to charge or even have a driveway to charge there's up? How thats got anything to do with one person listing his Impreza way above all others listed anywhere is anyone's guess

Yea most are that price, but yea it's £17.999 blue type r. I don't want a type r for that much. Only 2 years ago you could pick them up for under 10k lol

i guess this will give us a good indication if 'Mark' was on the money or not
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/...eza-turbo-2000
