Default C.diff flashing green after aftermarket steering wheel install?

I only ever seen to post when I have a question, but hey what better place to ask!😅

as the title said I had a friend install a nrg steering wheel on my sti Hawkeye, and since the c.diff is flashing green and won’t move?

the steering wheel angle sensor isn’t wired in, or the horn yet either is either is these possible reasons?

thanks

Yes the dccd takes steering angle input from the clock spring, if it is not getting steering angle signal the system will go into a default setting which is centre diff open.
Hope this helps

I had the same issue with my JDM hawk after changing to an aftermarket wheel.

The roll connector and angle sensor are actually two parts screwed together. If they've been seperated and not aligned properly, the angle sensor will throw a fault.

I had to replace the roll connector and angle sensor to cure the fault.

Google 2006 Impreza workshop manual. That has info on how fit the connector/sensor and also how to make the green light flash to indicate what errors are being recorded.

I also got FreeSSM program and ODB cable. This gives you fault codes etc.
