Default Petrol stations closed without fuel near me.se20

Well that's me without petrol in the scoob.

Went to around 5 petrol stations near me for some 99ron but all closed with no fuel whatsoever.

And I now don't have enough to go looking.....

Crazy government now getting visas for foreign lorry drivers.

You couldn't write this stuff. Ha ha.

I work at tesco and finish very late most nights.
the tankers come around 10pm and the Queues become insane. Then an hour later the station closes as they run out.

Fortunately they keep some back for the van deliveries but wonder how sainsbury will Contin their deliveries- They don't have their own stations where I am.

Bloody media hype !!! , there is no fuel shortage whatsoever, friend of mine drives tankers for a living , he turned away from 5 stations yesterday as he couldn’t get in the forecourt because of the morons trying to get another £3 worth of fuel in there cars.
the media came away from the co2 shortage that was spread everywhere and now that’s sorted they’ve created another thing to get people reading utter ****e , they all want publicly shaming. It’s all utter nonsense

British media (TV and print) once again causes panic when there is no need.

When will the government grow some ***** and punish them for inciting panic by using loaded wording and sensationalised headlines.

It is a criminal offence to corrupt public morals or outrage public decency, whether or not the act itself amounts to a actual crime. So get them in the docks.

And the Visas and foreign drivers is nothing to do with tanker driver shortages:

BP/Hoyer laid off drivers in the pandemic. Some quit when furloughed as Hoyer is crap to work for (look at the driver reviews on indeed and glassdoor). So the problem is only with deliveries supplied via BP. Other fuel companies were fine (until the press instigated a surge in demand).

Drivers need training and ADR certification to deliver fuel before being allowed near a tanker. So any old class 1 driver can't legally do it.

But of course lorry driver to the press means the same to them be it a 3,5ton dropside Gypo's Tranny or a 44t artic tanker!

I went to a nearby Shell in my Passat for diesel. Drove up to pump 1, filled up, paid, and drove off. No problems whatsoever.
......at 4.30am on a Sunday morning...forgot to mention that bit

Shortage of drivers is because of the backlog for HGV tests, my brother has been waiting nearly 2 yrs for his, if they fast tracked the tests there would be no need for migrant drivers.

Does anyoner want to swap some toilet rolls for some petrol, i have 6 x 9 packs of ultra soft deluxe toilet rolls here that i can do a straight swap with you for some petrol. We'd have to do it discretely, we could meet in the corner of a dark car park to do the exchange, let me know if your interested.

You do realise your cars will run on lower ron fuel . . . just reset your ECU once VPower is back and no kittens will be killed.

BP is lowest on my list for places to fill up at , but needs must , Esso do a sul says 99+ , i managed to get both cars filled , they were nearly out of fuel , along with me being nearly out of fuel , it was the 10th petrol station i went to for fuel ,at the other station's it was either empty at the pumps or silly long q’s , it was in berkhampstead herts , hopefully issues resolve themselves soon 👍
