i’ve always had the sigma alarm with key pad ,(sigma 30?) my last few jdm Fsti have had them fitted , is your car Canbus ? so would it still work , if canbus people talk about ghost alarms i don’t know much on that front but i know it stops keys being remotely copied a common way of taking a car , i do not like the keyless entry set ups very poor security ☹️ , always worth putting a tracker in , they are about 30£ on ebay , plus a fuel pump cut 👍

Both, its's a long story. I bought a 20th Anniversary which is currently with AS Performance. Literally the day after i bought the 20th Anniversary the car i was originally interested in buying which fell through, the seller then called me to say that the DVLA had finally sorted out switching the private plate back to it's original plate, upto that point it had already taken a month and a half and still hadn't been changed.

This one is a UK 2.5 that's been forged, closed decked and has had the 14mm head studs done by Andy Williams. You'll know from my posts that i preferred a UK car and to keep the burble as thats iconic to a Subaru, long term for my end goal the 2.5 makes more sense rather than to go a long winded, expensive route with the 20th Anniversary just to make it sound like a UK car, the 20th Anniversary will be kept to standard and i'll sell that at some point.

2008-13 UK STi cars are fitted with the Sigma S series alarms which come from the factory with fully integrated "into the loom" alarm wiring.
"Key" ignition/keyless entry models have the S34 model ; Push button ignition /keyless access models have the S32 model
They are also equipped with an "octotelematics" metasat tracker.

Thanks Don, mine is a 2008 Sti UK 2.5, it doesn't have the push button start.
