Default PPG 5speed gearbox - what are they worth in good condition?

Not a for sale thread, but I have a 5 speed PPG gearbox (straight cut 1-4 and standard 5th) in good working order from my project. It's currently in the car, but I've also been offered a 6speed gearbox, but I'd have to sell the PPG to afford the 6speed.

I'm going slowly slowly back to soft road spec, and I'm thinking that for track work the PPG is of course awesome, but maybe for the road a nice quiet 6sp would be better?

I'm aware they are like hens teeth, hence asking because I haven't seen one for sale since I got mine

Good point.

I think the ppg 5sp ratios are basically the same or very similar to a uk spec 5sp.

the casing is a 752

no dccd, and the final drive is 3.9 with a 1.1 drop in centre to make it compatible with the 3.54 rear diff on UK cars.

stabdard open diff front

So 1.1/1 drop gears. See I would purchase the box but only for the gearset. Then change all over. DCCD, front diff etc
