Subaru Impreza 2.0 Prodrive WRX STi Type UK
hello peeps,
after owning a classic 1999 uk 2000 turbo for 2 yrs ive decided to upgrade to a blobeye wrx sti uk with the pro drive pack
my 1999 is starting to show its age now and im not getting any younger
here is the ad of the car which ill be picking up this week end eBay item number: 115167901425
just wanted to know you thoughts on it , the mot history sold it for me
should i keep it factory?
to dump valve or not to dump valve?
will the pro drive back box be loud enough or should i stick a bigger back box on it
i have no intention to go over board on mods as im 45 this year and my modding cars yrs are well behind me
50/50 on a remap to get more power but ive been told they are 305bhp as it is
any way would love to hear your thoughts on it

My thoughts are do whatever the f**k you want with it, it's your car or your future car although standard anything isn't is my vocabulary it can be in yours. I would get it remapped just to unlock a bit more power and suit the map to the actual car tho.
It may have a clean mot but I'd still do the usual health checks, rust etc. Looks smart tho :-)

do not do it, 17k is a joke for 03 UK car with 93k miles
buy modded ,sell mods if You fancy oem car
if dv than forge one or stick with oem
cambelt done, well full kit or just belt? shell helix
buy jdm sti with 8k redline - this is the way

but easy to achieve rumble, You need unequal lenght headers ,exhaust turbo remap selling twinscroll setup
would not cost You much more that way apart new map which You fancy anyway
its way better car ,quick rack, jdm big port heads ,nice cluster/ clocks, dccd from 2002 ,
hunt for widetrack jdm sti ,think its possible to find it for a little less than one You posted
i will look for one with as many mods as possible, brakes, wheels, suspension, sway bars,turbo,injectors,3 port, deffis ,steering wheel and list goes on
all parts should cost way more than oem, You can sell ones You do not like putting oem parts back,You will have some money back that way.
I sold exhaust and coilovers for example -1.1k back and spent 430 quid for oem suspension and other exhaust
than sold alcon 365mm brakes , could buy oem brembos for 450 but i had apracing brakes to swap-1.1k back minus brembos price for example
had brand new rotas with new tyres could sell them for 1k and could buy oem wheels for 200
have deffis in centre pods think thats another 600
my car has a roof flap thats another 450-550 fitted,Yes can not sell that but i like it and it will cost me above price to fit it

It's no wonder prices for Imprezas and just about anything else that can be even vaguely described as a ''modern classic'' or ''future investment'' are so insane when clueless idiots with more money than sense are prepared to pay these kind of asking prices without doing any real research.

How about this one? Maybe get it a little cheaper plus it’s a widetrack

hell you've even got me thinking 🤣
Mines a clean 06 widetrack just turned 65k miles. Only mods are coilovers and exhaust, no rust, and i never thought id get 17k for it till today !
Just ask about, you'll be surprised , there's still tidy cars out there that won't cost the earth.

Mot history mentions no rust mate so that’s a good start 👍
it mentions it hasn’t had its recall done (airbag maybe) so will need booking in at a Subaru dealership to get sorted free of charge
