Question

Hi All,

My little car was written off and Id love to try to track it down to see what happens to it/what its worth etc.

Anyone know any good salvage auction web sites - pretty sure itll go to auction as it was worth a fair bit still. someone gave me a link to one a while back, I reckon itll be in the south somewhere, but could go anywhere I guess

cheers

AP

I suppose depending on how badly damaged the car was, that there is always the possibility it will end up back on the road. It may even have already been sold to a salvage company and repaired. You could wait a few months then request details of the current owner from the dvla , then if you had some pics send them to the new keeper.

Normally the ins. company gives you the option to buy it back. Contact them and ask them.

Well, I had to argue like mad to get them to give me the option of buying it. Then they decided it was worth 6 grand (Cat B) so it wasn't worth it.

I might be wrong but if the car is classed as a CatB write off I think the car has to be dismantled and not allowed back on the road.

You can only put CatC,D & X write off's back on the road.

Like I said I might be wrong(no change there anyway)

Neil

Forgot to ask what MY was the car
