Default New Cats ££

Well , been an expensive few days , first Fsti scraped the mot , cat ( 200 cell ) was hot before the test but failed , them warmed up again and passed , lambda was high along with the co , they think likely the cat is on its way out , it’s a cheap jap speed it’s lasted about 3 to 3.5 years , so I suppose not too bad , new one ordered , I bought another japspeed one for that car , I bought one to fit a classic which I hope is the right one ? and will match up with the mid pipe , second Fsti same issue on emissions , I am sure it’s a more expensive cat and likely been on the car for a long time , so that’s a hayward and scott downpipe , 705£ or so ££ , then the mrs Fsti , a bleed nipple has snapped in the brembos , brembos and their parts have all shot up in price , I sold my old set of brembos a while ago for 650 £ , now you are lucky to get a good ish set for 1200 to 1500 , plus the pins and back plates have gone up , I ended up buying a refurbed set for 2300 £ from BN Europe Ltd , and pins and plates from Megazip , and now i need a new set of rear tyres , I suppose the only way to look at it it’s just money ☹️☹️ 💸💸 but why does it all come at once , last 💸 only a few months ago a new clutch , i will get the old calipers off and send to Godspeed for a re build as they are very reasonable , the added issue is the mot set up is changing so it links the emissions tester machine to another machine so harder to get emissions through as it needs to work first time , I think if I did this again , for the power I’m looking for around 330 bhp , I would keep original scooby cat and just map it , as performance wise there is not a lot between two of them the Fsti , maybe more noticeable top end with the mapped car , elh are a smoother drive than uelh , but you loose the scooby noise , I think one Fsti has a highbrid vf41 in it as it’s noticeably quicker than the other two , plus slightly more juicy on chat 👍

Yarp 2300£ front and rear fully refurbed inc p and p , which is fair based on current prices , i would like ap I put them on the monaro , but as I’m running 3 Fsti I want to keep them the same across all of them , so I have not only Interchangeability but also new spare parts for all , I found ap discs and pads quite a bit more £ , if you don’t need your rear brembo then worth getting them refurbed and they will sell at around a k £ 👍 icp were doing what appeared brembo fronts in a silver base coat but no rears for my car , I would have bought them if they had all four calipers , I did not realise the rear brembo calipers were different , I can’t remember what year they changed to the different style 👍
