Don't get me started on bikes. Which should ALL be equipped with a warning bell, but aren't.
Contrary to YOUR opinion (,you say all opinions are welcome) there should be a petition to BAN the things!...they're already not legal yet ridden with seeming impunity....an absolute menace to the majority of pedestrians as 'kids' aren't equipped with the mental capacity to understand the consequences of their actions - the brain's frontal lobe responsible for this isn't fully developed until the age of 21 or more. There's already been at least one death of a pedestrian to a 14 year old illegally riding one of these.
Think I'll write to my MP....

Do not get me wrong i use them here and abroad but teenagers do not care about others and consequences are massive ,most of them do not use helmets at all ,they should use ones with chin protection. Yes 21y old with license in my opinion.

Thanks for your input this is the reason we are trying to get them Legal so there can be roles in place like you can't buy one with out the correct driver's licence and we are talking about children under 12 with a adult moving no more then 7 mph

Thanks for your input yes teens are making up the bad part of this and need to be punished but if we can get the legal and regulated we can then put a stop to this this is what we are working for the safety of the public and road users plus the riders

in Paris commercial scooters are banned now. Only private allowed, opposite to UK, makes sense as youths dropped them to a river etc.
If You have car insurance Your private scooter should be included in price i think or for small fee.
I have no idea how 15y old with no license can drive voi scooters for example as You have to scan driver license when You register or they changed something ?

If it's motorised, tax it and licence it, insure it.

See we think if you drive and have Motor insurance you are OK but you need to have something on it as if you hit some one you need to have a way to be covered for them and you
and thanks for your support

Review of legislation needed as part of a wider transport infrastructure plan. Which includes dedicated lanes

Legalise. No.

Do not belong on road; Too unstable. Too slow. No good on poor road surfaces (potholes, drains, man hole covers, bumps etc).
Do not belong in footpath. Too fast, riders are too irresponsible (mature adults included).

And already too many chinesium imports that blow up when on charge.

Rather E-bike legislation be relaxed. TBH.

Other countries they have dedicated lanes to use these. That's fine, and where they belong; Build the infrastructure first before letting the brain dead zip about on them.

I can't stand them, they attract a lot of chavvy idiots that don't give a monkeys about anyone else. If they want to go on the roads with something powered then pay to use them like most other people, what happens if they hit someone, what does the person they've hit do then or the car they've hit if they are tearing around without insurance ?

Never gonna happen; registration for bicycles creates an access barrier to their use. Same applies for ebikes.

Also, trouble is the batteries in them are built to a price ie cheapest possible, and are inherently dodgy,! Lethal fires due to these batteries being charged have occured, same as those hoverboards not that long ago. No, if you make 'em legal it opens the floodgates for all the cheap dangerous Chinese junk flooding the market.

OK so I do understand what you are saying but by not having them Legal is the problem as the chep ones are what are being sold on line I have gone and seen lots with the best battery's in and ther lg and very safe the problem is that till there Legal we can't get regs on them to control this and the next thing is that till we get them Legal the People using there ones on the road are riding like Idiots so the police don't have the chance to stop them

Please report this as the rental ones have tracking in them and thay must submit ther driving licence to be able to take them out and you will see that this is not true and this is why we need to get them Legal
