I wouldn't bother with 110,000 miles on it. But, it depends if you intend to a)keep it and b)if you think it's cheap.

less better for resale but it does not really matter for hatch sti , almost no one will buy it back anyway

Depends how much it is. 110k isn't much if the car has been well maintained, serviced and driven with some mechanical sympathy. Obviously you have no way of knowing this. How many owners has it had? You still potentially benefit from the 2 big JDM positives: 2.0l and rust free*

I'd rather deal with mechanical refreshes and replacements in due course, than rot.

Hedge is referring to all the specialist 20th suspension parts if you replace them like for like, most are pillowball or specific to the 20th model.

I take it the suspension mounts are different so you have to go like for like , I’ve heard of the model but don’t know much about them , me being more forester based

Most of the standard STI hatch stuff will still fit, it's just if you're keeping it original the STI optional parts aren't cheap.
If you're not keeping it original then might as well get a normal JDM STI and mod that instead.

Hi, I was raised in japan, Im new to this forum.
I myself have a car export and local sales business.
One thing ur importer isnt telling you is there is rust underneath the car, it doesnt say how much but there is enough on some areas for the inspection guy to write it on the auction sheet. And also the winker light on the door mirror is cracked and clutch has been replaced. (:
It looks like a well maintained car, for US market 110k miles might not be too much but for us here, its a lot. So no for me.

Thats not true, the amount of rusty cars I see in auctions and around me all day are crazy. The cars from nothern side of japan are usually super rusty and there are tons of em there. (I dont live up north) You can check my new thread about the rusty subaru sti Im tryna buy for my daily u'll see how much rust japanese cars have too so its def not a positive side.

It depends on what area of Japan it's spent most of it's life in, i wouldn't want a car with that kind of mileage thats come from the snow, cold and wet parts of Japan or from the coastal parts of Japan with all that sea salt in the air which is a corrosion nightmare. Personally i wouldn't go for a car with that kind of mileage, it will come down to what your budget allows, go for as low a mileage as you can find within your budget to try and keep some reasonable value in the car for when you eventually decide to sell it.
