I seem to remember someone mentioning that after the 30k service,they had better performance?????...I know that the plugs and air filter are replaced which may cause a slight improvement,but do dealers reset/amend some Ecu settings,or adjust dump valve settings or something to give a more NOTICABLE increase....or is it just wishfull thinking???

Is it nor just the fact that you've got replacement sparks, airfilter + ECU reset.....after driving the car for 30K, you get used to the slight deterioration in performance of old plugs, filter etc.....and therefore its a relative thing.
After 30K - I dont think its some magic wand the dealer waves over your car
When I had my G40 [sigh], if I replaced the panel filter or gave it a good clean there was also a noticeable improvement in pick up etc....
