Eurotunnel/POSL/Britanny price oligopoly!

I see that the ferry companies and Eurotunnel have got together for some time now to fix prices and times to get to France
I want to go to France for two solid days - but can I? - not unless I cough up £229 on Eurotunnel or £210 on POSL - as far as Brittany goes they never have anything useful
Can anyone tell me why they removed 3 day break pricing so that if you want to stay for over 28 hrs you have to get an extortionate 5 day break price - its a total con
Can anyone tell me what the ramifications are if I get the cheapest return possible one and dont use the return and then come back in France doing the same thing?
Theres no mention of penalties on the POStenna terms and conditions but theres a bit of vague terminology on Eurotunnels - ther must be some way round this Robbery?
Pls help - I want to go tomorrow morning to France!!!

only just read this but someone on here did mention a few days ago about getting two cheap day returns, one for the day you want to go out and one for the day you come back... this was on Le Shuttle.... hope you get this before you go....

A friend of mine does that all the time.
They stress that you must use the return jouney. He says OK, forgets/misses boat and returns to UK on another 'cheap return' - Up to you
