picture it,went to santa pod (not realising it was a tin can vauxhall day) on sunday not really knowing what to expect as id never been before. Met a nice chap in a makker evo who gave me some good tips on how to run etc.
1st run against a corsa.......as expected no problem
2nd run against a 3.2 superchared vectra.....also no problem
3rd run against a red nova which apparentyly was a 8v turbo with nitrous,once i got to about 90mph he just went straight past me,too my horror lol
i must say that in the all the time ive had my scooby,this instead of being a low point,i actually found it sooooo funny,i just really couldnt believe he beat me
as i said im no pro at running as i never been before but that aint no excuse really
read some of the comments i found on a nova web site http://www.novaload.net/forums/viewt...er=asc&start=0 it seems i made everyones day!!!!

I was geting footage of a blue scooby on the entrance to the pod.
(ticketing area) any ideas who that was?
i was in a cossie blue nova with white speedline alloys???
theres now several novas running close to 13 second dead 1/4 miles. makes it more intresting.
I also heard the cheer from the other side of the show.. lol

Made a lot of Vauxhall Drivers happy that did.
Even though it was a Nova.

Download it then open with a mpg player.
It's quite big (300kB)
Oh, just noticed it has a .htm extension, that'd be why ot don't run from the net.

we've always told you that you have to change out of second gear when at the pod ...
Gonna take the civic type R up there soon, now the NOS has been fitted, it should make some of the people die of embarressment....
It's been rolled at just under 300 bhp with 75 bhp jets !

I was there and was one of many that cheered.
As you said, it was a Vauxhall day and was advertised as such. TBH you should not have been sold track passes, but this should be sorted for next year.
I think the reason why people loved seeing you get beaten so much was because most people felt you shouldn't have been there, and that you were maybe there to rub in the fact that you are quicker (maybe you were?). Anyhow, I would have creamed that Nova in my Astra
I think it was my fav race of the day - followed closely by a 4 door Mk2 Astra beating an Ex Rally Astra 4S (supercharged) - the 4 door got a 13.15s and the 4S about 13.32s

Has the rear axle been chocked?I saw an orion at York last year where they's jacked the car up then put wooden chocks in the gap in the springs and droppped it back down again.It looked very dangerous but helped front end grip no end.
