Type R's (driving style)
#1
I was wondering if any of you clever cloggs out there knew the differnce in handling between normal scooby's and the Type R's as I here their handling is different (in the off position) more rear wheel drive stuff.
What does this actually mean on the road. I'm used to FWD (front wheel drive) cars and you can throw them round corners and floor the throtle quite safely.
How should a RWD (rear wheel drive) car be driven into a roundaout and out and what are the pitfals or scary times.
I don't mind if someone ou there wants to excercise their knowledge in great detail
as I am keen to know.
Can anyone recommend any books on this sort of thing.

Go steady boyo!!
Dont go throwing it around on the normal roads if you aint got any experience!
In the normal position if you give it some rice on a wet roundabout you will get the back end out...dont lift off as youll spin...steer into it slightly (like a RWD but not a agressively) and keep even power sliding round the corner..oversteering alittle more to straighten up.
Best trick is to find an old road or track..with a bit of loose gravel that will be very slippery and have a play...if you can master that then have fun on the roads.
I have rallyed FWD and RWD but thr Type R is the best of both mixed into 1 !!
HAVE FUN...I DOOOOOOO

Cheers Timo!
I guess you are describing the standard setting and not having altered the manual setting.
If so what would be the consequence and why.
Does RWD stick it's bum out or is it the other way around.
